T174 Electronics 1
Electronics 1 is Fremd's introductory level electronics course. This year long course is geared towards teaching students the fundamentals of electricity and electrical components. Students will interpret, build, solder, and test circuits. This course is also Dual-Credit through Harper Community College!
T276 Electronics 2
Electronics 2 builds on the principles learned in T174 and enables students to apply their knowledge through project based learning. Students are allowed to develop their own projects with the assistance of the instructor.
Electronics Independent Study
Electronics Independent Study allows students to take the knowledge learned in their prerequisite course work and apply them to their own personal projects. Students will be able to take on long term projects and work with various technologies within the Applied Technology Department.
T202- PLTW Intro to Engineering Design
T202 is the Introductory level Project Lead the Way course. Students will learn the principles of engineering and obtain skills in drafting, 3D modeling, and prototyping. Students will also acquire team building skills essential to the design process. 3D modeling is used accomplished through the utilization of Autodesk Inventor.
T302- PLTW Principles of Engineering
This course exposes students to a variety of different fields of engineering. Students will apply math and phsyics skills as they explore robotics, kinematics, thermal dynamics, and more. Students who excell in this class are eligible for college credit through the University of Iowa.
T134- Engine and Power Technology
This course teaches students the principles of engine operation and theory. Students will be assigned a Briggs and Stratton small engine to disassemble/reassemble throughout the semester. This course is a great introduction course for students looking to enroll in Fremd's automotive courses.
